We are members of our local communities who have come together for a common cause. We hold no political or religious affiliations. We do not take sides for or against the war.It is strictly about honoring our soldiers who serve our country. Some of our members consist of Veterans and Civic organizations. These members help us support our troops. However, they do represent themselves as part of the organization to which they serve. These members and organizations will sometimes speak and/or give out awards at our events.
saluteburlcotroops.com is here to support the individual person, whom we refer to as a “Soldier”, whether he or she serves in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine, or Navy.Simply put, we thank and honor the “Soldiers” for their duty and devotion to this great nation of ours for which they were called upon to serve.
We directly support our deployed military men and women who are currently serving over-seas through donated or purchased items. These items are made into care packages that are sent directly to the “Soldier” or unit to help raise morale and to let them know we are supporting them back home.Names of local “Soldiers” are given to us so that we can send care packages to try and make the “Soldier” comfortable in his or her tour of duty.
saluteburlcotroops.com, by request, can organize “Welcome Home” events which include an escort and/or ceremony for a “Soldier” in Burlington County as he or she arrives home.We also honor local military units arriving home with an escort and/or ceremony to honor the individual “Soldiers” who have come home.
We believe there is more power in numbers, and the sum of the whole group is greater than what the individual organizations can accomplish by themselves.Simply put, we can do more in a combined effort for our "Soldiers" than the sum of the organizations with all their individual achievements added together.
Our committee plans all events and functions. Any special guests, awards, or speeches must be brought to the committee to be included into the program because we have a very limited and timed program to follow and last minute ideas and guests cannot be included unless previously discussed and planned in advance.
We are funded solely through the efforts and generosity of Private Citizens, Civic Organizations, Churches, and Veterans Organizations. In addition, we have applied for 501(c)3 and donations will be tax deductible upon acceptance.
Our Mission
To support deployed military men and women who are currently serving over-seas through donated or purchased items in which care packages are made and sent directly to the soldiers or units. Names of local soldiers are given to us which we add to our list of package recipients.
saluteburlcotroops.com wants to let our soldiers know that the people back home care and are supporting them.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life to military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan by sending the comforts of home to their remote locations. Our items of comfort include but are not limited to socks, snacks and other daily necessities.
By request, we can organize a "Welcome Home" which includes an escort and/or ceremony for a soldier in Burlington County as he or she arrives home. We also honor local military units arriving home with an escort and/or ceremony to honor the individual soldiers who have come home.
